In a context of several directives for transitional and coastal waters masses (Water Framework Directive, Marine Strategy Framework Directive and Bathing Water Directive), the good ecological status of water but also conservation of marine ecosystem should be quickly achieved. The Basque coastline (SE of the Bay of Biscay) is subject to strong human pressures with a high density of population over the year, and especially during the summer with tourist activities. Le recueil d’informations présenté ici sous la forme d’un atlas agrémenté de riches illustrations témoigne du contraire. Le domaine marin côtier du Pays basque et du sud des Landes a fait l’objet de nombreux travaux thématiques sur le milieu physique, le milieu vivant, les ressources halieutiques et les activités qui s’y pratiquent. The HaPoGé survey was planned due to a scientific opportunity tender for the HROV Ariane, it follows the test AtlantHrov campaign technique, which took place from May 26 to June 9, 2017. HaPoGé is the first scientific cruise of the HROV Ariane in Atlantic ocean, aboard a coastal vessel the “Côtes de la Manche”. It took place from July 12 to July 19, 2017. Cystoseira baccata, a biological quality element for the implementation of the Water Framework and Marine Strategy EU Directives, is a dominant species in the subtidal rocky bottoms of the Basque coast. The sea urchin Paracentrotus lividus is an important exploited resource on the Mediterranean coast and has been the subject of much research. In the Bay of Biscay, the situation is different, as some studies have been conducted on the Spanish Basque coast but few on the French part of that coast. However, the Basque coast offers favourable conditions for the development of this species, and its exploitation could be a source of potential diversification for fishermen, especially in the context of difficulties with some other resources. Descartes 2 propose la mise au point et l'optimisation de protocoles d'échantillonnage qualifiant les biocénoses marines et des ressources halieutiques d'intérêt régional sur deux types de milieux aquitains : la côte basque rocheuse et le bassin d'Arcachon. Tester et définir des méthodes d'échantillonnage fiables, applicables en routine et transférables, requièrent une phase de recherche impliquant des compétences en mathématiques, hydrodynamique, sciences du vivant. Along biometric characteristics, glass eel otoliths were collected during three migration seasons, in the Adour estuary, during the new moon of January. Microstructure reading and measurements of various growth zones bring information on glass eel larval life during their oceanic migration and the transition phase in estuary. The results show significant inter-annual variations of glass eels otolithometric characteristics from the point of view of their typology as of the various growth zones measured during transoceanic migration. This work is based on about 2,000 samples. It provides a synthetic description of the distribution patterns of fûraminiferal assemblages in paralie environments and shows on two examples the effect of anthropogenic impacts. It shows that despite the great diversity of eeological parameters, foraminiferal assemblages are naturally distributeà along a fev/ major gradients. Anomalies in these distribution patterns or morphological abnormalities of the tests indicate anthropogenic or natural stresses.
